Friday Night Videos

Have I ever featured Journey on Friday Night Videos? I can't recall. I liked a lot of their songs growing up in the 80s but I never much followed them as a band, if you know what I mean. My favorite of their is probably "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" which coincidentally happens to have one of the worst videos ever aired. It's not that it's bad in execution or cheesy, over-the-top 80s self-importance the 80s were famous for... it's just cheap. It's like they woke up at 10 a.m. one day and said, "Oh crap! We need a video for our song by lunch! And we only have a budget of $3.46!" Seriously, this is the cheapest phone-it-in video I've ever seen from a major recording act. Enjoy.

Previously on Friday Night Videos... Bruce Willis.

Now Playing: Jimmy Buffett Banana Wind

  1. A very affordable video, indeed. Either the model or the warehouse rental was the most expensive thing in there.

Kind of looks like John Scalzi playing drums.
