News of a most excellent nature

Friends and neighbors, I've done gone and made a fiction sale. And not just any old fiction sale, but one to the sexiest project out there: the Robert E. Howard centennial anthology to be published jointly by F.A.C.T. and MonkeyBrain in conjunction with the World Fantasy Convention Nov. 2-5 in Austin later this year.

The antho is being edited by Joe R. Lansdale and Scott Cupp, two pretty damn talented writers in their own right. It is a showcase of Texas writers, and writers with strong Texas ties. The table of contents is most impressive, I think you'll agree:
Dean Andersson - Slim and Swede and the Damned Dead Horse
Neal Barrett, Jr. - The Heart
Jayme Blaschke - Prince Koindrindra Escapes
Lillian Stewart Carl - The Diamonds of Golconda
Bill Crider and Charlotte Laughlin - The Heart of Ahriman
Scott Cupp - One Fang
Brad Denton - The King Comes to Texas
Mark Finn – A Whim of Circumstance
Melissa Mia Hall – The Sea of Grass on the Day of Wings
Rick Klaw and Paul Miles - A Penny a Word
Ardath Mayhar - The Pillar in the Mist
Michael Moorcock - The Roaming Forest
Chris Nakashima-Brown - The Bunker of the Tikriti
Lawrence Person – The Toughest Jew in the West
James Reasoner - Wolves of the Mountain
Jessica Reisman – Two Hearts in Zamora
Carrie Richerson - The Warrior and the King
Chris Roberson - The Jewel of Leystall
Howard Waldrop - Thin, On the Ground
Livia Washburn - Boomtown Bandits
Gene Wolfe – Six From Atlantis

Of course, now the doubts set in, worry that my humble work will pale in comparison to the stories Wolfe, Moorcock, Waldrop... well, pretty much everyone on that list can kick my butt, literarily speaking. I've heard great things from Scott about some of these stories, and cannot wait to get my hands on this thing and read it cover to cover. This is going to be one great book!
